Grand Canyon RV park

A Campsite is an area where one could spend their time outdoors. A typical camp site consists of an open area where the camper can erect a tent or park a recreational vehicle or trailer. Camping can be done in an impromptu area or a dedicated area. Many countries have their own set of regulations for camping. In most camp sites a camping fee is charged in addition to the park entrance fee.
Camp sites that accommodate recreational vehicles are referred to as RV parks. RV parks in the United States range from parks with limited utility to luxury resorts. The period that an individual can stay in these RV parks vary from park to park.
Grand Canyon RV parks are located within and around the Grand Canyon National Park. The Grand Canyon RV parks are very popular and are fully occupied during the popular holiday seasons.
Camping is permitted in the South Rim and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park.
Camping in the North rim of the Grand Canyon national park is limited to one established site, which is the North Rim Campground. The Grand Canyon RV Park in the North rim is situated a mile from the North rim and does not provide hook ups.
Camping in the South rim of the Grand Canyon national park is limited to three established campgrounds. These established campgrounds situated in the South rim of the park, are known as Trailer Village RV Park, Mather Campground and Desert View Campground. Only a few sites are available for back country camping.

Mather camp ground which is situated in the south rim of the park offers tent as well as RV camping. This Gran Canyon RV park is located in the Grand Canyon village. Availability is based on a first come first-served basis and could be booked five months in advance. Reservations can be made from April to November.
Even though this Grand Canyon RV Park does not provide hookups the Trailer Village adjacent to the Mather campground, which also happens to be a Grand Canyon RV park offers hook ups. Both these campgrounds are opened throughout the year. A dump station, laundry, showers, groceries and service station are available for both these camp sites.
The Dessert view campground is open from mid May to mid October and is available on first come first-served basis.
Some of the other Grand Canyon RV Parks operated by the U.S. Forest Service, are De Motte campground, Jacob Lake campground, situated close to the North rim and the Ten - X campground situated close to the South rim. These Grand Canyon RV parks are located outside the national park.
